Swordsmen beat Garfield Bulldogs
Overcoming a sluggish 1st half the Swordsmen kicked it in gear in the 2nd half to beat the Garfield Bulldogs 22-7 in Friday night action in East Los Angeles.
Tied 7-7 at the half the Swordsmen were lead by the running of Drake Griffin and several Paul Lopez to Tyler Carrillo passes including a touchdown.
The defense held the Bulldogs at bay all night yielding a handful of Bulldog
first downs and even contributing a safety in the 2nd half.
The Swordsmen take on the Pioneer Titans this Friday at Pioneer HS in Whittier. The Titans lost to John Glenn last Friday 38-3.
