Holy Names University in Oakland, CA recently announced the addition of St. Paul alumni Lesley and Marie Vodiscka to their 2009-2010 recruiting class. Lesley and Marie graduated from St. Paul in 2008 and 2007 respectively. The following excerpt is from the Holy Names website. You'll have a chance to see the girls in action when the Redhawks visit Southern California in November to play Hope International and Concordia.  

 

Rounding out the 2009 Holy Names recruiting class is Lesley and Marie Vodiscka both from Rio Hondo College in Whittier, CA. Both of the Vodiscka sisters were starters for a Rio Hondo team that went 26-7 and advanced to the state playoffs where they suffered a first round upset and an early exit. Marie is a 5-7 combo guard who played her freshman year at Whittier College before transferring to Rio Hondo to join her sister. Lesley, a 5-6 point guard was named to the All-Foothill Conference 1st Team and was a Honorable Mention Kodak All-American following an impressive freshman campaign.
